NR Davis purchased the company of Warner Arms in 1917 and renamed it Davis-Warner Arms it ceased operation in 1930 when Crescent took over completely. This is relevent for the fact that most all of these guns exixted in their own right and as 'hardware guns' sold by other companies. Antique Double Barrel Shotgun by N.R. N. R. Davis & Sons Ajax Double Barrel Shotgun. Serialno. F10411, 12 gauge, 30-inch barrels with single bead front sightand matte rib. Double triggers. Tang safety. Checkered pistol-gripwalnut stock and fore-end. Pachmayr rubber recoil pad.Condition: Fair. Finish with an overall thin, gray mottledpatina. Butt a later replacement. Bores dirty but with no pitting.Appears mechanically sound.Auction Info
